Welcome to the Show

The Neptune Drive-In is an outdoor cinema on the shores of Pointe-du-Chêne, New Brunswick, operated by Shediac des Merveilles Inc. By driving onto the grounds, all guests agree to the following. These are the rules of the realm. They exist so everyone has a good night.

General Conduct

The Neptune Drive-In is a place for films, food, and the particular pleasure of watching a movie under the stars. We ask that all guests treat staff, fellow moviegoers, and the grounds with respect. Disruptive, aggressive, or threatening behaviour will result in removal from the premises. Management reserves the right to deny entry or remove any guest at its sole discretion, without refund.

Arrival & Parking

Gates open at the posted time each screening night. Guests are parked by staff based on vehicle height: cars in the front rows, trucks, SUVs, and taller vehicles toward the rear. This ensures a clear sightline for everyone. Please follow staff direction. Do not switch spots without permission.

Engines must be turned off during the screening. Headlights must be turned off once you are in your space. Parking lights, hazard lights, and bright interior lights are also to be switched off during the film.

Audio & FM Radio

Sound is delivered via FM radio. Tune to the frequency posted on the screen and at the gate. Guests who prefer not to idle their engine are encouraged to bring a portable battery-powered radio. The Drive-In is not responsible for dead car batteries, though we sympathize.

Cannabis & Smoking

Cannabis products, in any form, are not permitted on the Neptune Drive-In grounds. Smoking and vaping are permitted only in designated areas, away from other vehicles and the canteen. Please dispose of materials responsibly.

Politiques

Pets

Dogs are welcome at the Neptune Drive-In, provided they are leashed at all times, well-behaved, and cleaned up after. Dogs must remain within your parking space or immediately beside your vehicle. Barking that disturbs fellow guests may result in a polite request to relocate or depart. All other animals require prior approval.

Sitting Outside Your Vehicle

Guests are welcome to set up lawn chairs, blankets, or similar seating beside their vehicle. Please keep your setup within the bounds of your parking space and do not obstruct the view for vehicles behind you. Sitting on vehicle roofs is permitted at your own risk. Standing in front of your vehicle during the screening is not.

Children & Supervision

Children are welcome at the Neptune Drive-In. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times, both in vehicles and on the grounds (canteen, washrooms, patio). The Drive-In programs both family-friendly and adult-oriented films; please check the schedule in advance to choose an appropriate screening.

Noise & Light

The Neptune Drive-In is, fundamentally, a place for watching and listening. Please keep noise to a reasonable level during the screening. This includes car horns, music from personal speakers, shouting, and conversations loud enough to carry beyond your parking space. Phone screens at full brightness are discouraged during the film. The screen provides all the light you need.

Restricted Items

The following items are not permitted on the Neptune Drive-In grounds:

– Outside alcohol
– Cannabis products
– Fireworks, sparklers, or open flames of any kind
– Glass containers (excluding sealed food containers brought from home)
– Drones
– Laser pointers
– Anything that produces excessive noise, light, or disruption

Management reserves the right to refuse entry to any item deemed inappropriate for the grounds.

Lost & Found

Lost items may be reported to staff at the canteen building. Items unclaimed after 30 days become the property of the Neptune Drive-In. We are not responsible for lost or stolen belongings.

Vehicle Conduct

The Neptune Drive-In is not a racetrack, a parking lot for socializing with engines running, or a venue for testing your sound system. Speed on the grounds must not exceed 10 km/h. Reckless driving, excessive revving, or use of high beams will result in immediate removal.

Intermission & Departure

Guests are free to leave between features. Re-entry on busy nights is not guaranteed. If you depart after the first film, please do so with headlights off until you reach the exit lane, to avoid blinding fellow guests during the second feature.

Photography & Video

Personal photography is welcome. Recording of the film being screened is strictly prohibited and constitutes a violation of copyright law. We take this seriously, and so do the distributors.

Inclement Weather

The Neptune Drive-In operates rain or shine. You are in your car; you are already sheltered. Screenings are cancelled only in the event of dangerous conditions (severe electrical storms, high winds, or similar hazards). Cancellations are announced on our social media channels. There are no refunds for weather-related closures.

Refunds

Admission is non-refundable once you have entered the grounds, except in the case of a full cancellation by management. If a screening is cancelled before the first feature begins, a refund or rain check will be issued at management’s discretion.

Liability

Guests attend the Neptune Drive-In at their own risk. Shediac des Merveilles Inc. is not responsible for injury, loss, theft, or damage to persons, vehicles, or personal property incurred on the grounds. This includes damage to vehicles from gravel, weather, or other environmental conditions.

The One Rule

Be a good neighbour. The person in the next car over came here for the same reason you did. Keep it quiet, keep it kind, keep your headlights off. The rest tends to follow.

*The Neptune Drive-In Theatre is operated by Shediac des Merveilles Inc. We have been showing movies under the stars since the 1960s, with a brief intermission or two along the way. For questions, contact us at info@shediacwonderland.ca.*
